Science and Religion

    There are lots of conflicts in different fields but science and religion are the most popular and never ending kind of conflict. A few centuries ago for men it was not necessary to have factual proof and at that time the philosophy used to be very developed. If we go many years back by our mind we can’t imagine how people were narrow-minded that much. They thought for example if it rained that meant that the god of rain was angry with them. We can’t say that they were stupid ones but I think that they were trying to find something or someone whom they would be able to blame for their failure. But nowadays people need some proof. Everything needs proof.  By the time passed mans’ brain started to be able to think more and more deeply. And by the time appeared science. But let’s not forget that religion is older than anything else. In the middle centuries the religion was more acceptable because people were not that good at science and for them religion was much more important. For example if we see Armenian writers at 10^th century we will see that almost everything was about religion, God and Saints. I know that at that time it was not allowed to write about something else. With developing of science people began to think that science was more important than religion, and they started to oppose. If you think that science and religion are in opposite ways you’re completely wrong because they were and will be in war situation forever.So what is science. Science  is something that always has proofs of everything and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. And that is what men wants nowadays.
And what is religion. Religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. For the man who wants only proof and don’t want to think deeply, investigate and to study is much easy to say that there is no God, because the knowledge of God, spiritual things needs more considering and it is not that easy at all.There are many scientists and if we mention those who had investigated things that were fatal for us and human being we will see that the main part of them believe in someone. We accept their discoveries but we do not accept the way they did them. Albert Einstain the founder of modern physics and Nobel laureate recognized the impossibility of a non-created universe, quoted saying “Everyone who is seriously committed to the cultivation of science becomes convinced that in all the laws of the universe is manifest a spirit vastly superior to man, and to which we with our powers must feel humble.” Another famous quote of his was “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”Science is something that is created by human, but religion is something that needs trust.“What we know is a drop, what we do not know is a vast ocean. The admirable arrangement and harmony of the universe could only have come from the plan of an omniscient and omnipotent being.” Sir Isaac Newton
 So in conclusion I want to say my opinion. For me the connection of science and religion is this: science is the way to be sure more in what we believe. Science says that the universe the Solar system is created by accuracy. This fact makes me more stable in my religion. And for the last example. Many scientists say that our Earth and we were created by explosion. And now stand in front of the mirror. You are the best proof of religion. If you need proof for religion you are the best proof.
